Highest free standing Wind Measurement Mast in Nothern Germany

Most comprehensive project of Ge:Net so far

Ge:Net has again successfully installed a free standing wind measurement mast near

the German north sea coast.

In summer 2017 our customer approached us with a request for an offer about a free

standing mast. Nobody imagined that this would result in the most comprehensive

project of the company so far.

Already in August we received the order with challenging aims:

 - The mast should be erected until end of 2017.

- The foundation was already built and did not fulfill our requirements.

We accepted the challenge and started by developing a transition piece for the old

foundation and the new mast with 110m height. From the very beginning our client

made perfectly clear that only the highest quality standards would be accepted. All

planning and production would be closely monitored by them.

With delight we accomplished these tasks and fulfilled all quality requirements.

In October it got exciting: Though we were all working under high pressure the

erection in 2017 seemed not possible. To fulfill our customer’s request we all

worked even harder and the delivery of the first part of the mast in calendar week

49 was made possible.

Start of December the crane for the erection was ordered, the mast was assembled in

two large sections on the ground and on Friday the 15th of December 2017 the moment

was there: The mast was successfully erected.
